Hi!
Is this topic still on? I have a circuit with the pitstop not working for the AI cars during race. Can anyone help solve this? Thanks.

Re: FIXED or IMPROVED .AIWs for F1C
I've got problems with JimmyF's version of Sonoma AIW.
First, the AI cars always ran too wide on first corner and crash in the wall, second, the pitlane: I always pass straight to my pits (using pitlane assistance).
Other thing: several tracks of his conversions are from Nascar Thunder 2003 Sonoma is a case. Just for all your information.

Re: FIXED or IMPROVED .AIWs for F1C
Guys, does anybody know what happened to JimmyF?
It's his birthday today (according to the site, at least) and this thread he started was really amazing. Has he quit? Has he lost interest or maybe moved on to a more modern engine? The work he and other contributors did here was really out of this world and I would love to see anyone with a little more knowledge of aiws picking up this flag and keeping up with this job, as it's a sort of harder one for me to master. Still, happy birthday, JimmyF and good luck on your enterprises, wherever you may be.
Regards.

Just passing through, unfortunately...
First of all, I thank you a thousand times d4nf1c for your very kind
words.
Secondly, I'm a piece of shit for not replying in a timely fashion.
(And for not answering to the few requests that have been made by members,
here.) I just didn't wanna show up...
But, in July, Wookey needed help with the LONG variant of Dijon-Prenois, and
I knew I've improved both variants... and although I didn't want to get
involved, I kept looking at the link, and today I've logged in again, after years
of not being around.
I'm not back, I have still so many things to do... I always create weights for
myself, 'cause that's how my silly brain works, I never finish anything, I jump
from interest to interest like the hummingbird from flower to flower.
I even started improving English subtitles (I'm on Subscene), and that
was also as time-consuming as working on the F1C tracks.
But, I'll be back
Someday.
I want to.
I LOVE F1C.
I tried to share my knowledge on how to improve the F1C tracks (which
are not created in F1C, therefore their problems come from elsewhere),
but people who either convert, or create tracks (presumably in rFactor),
didn't try to work the whole thing with:
A) the "AIW & Cam Editor v3.62" by "Guitarmaen"
and
B) the "3D SimED Editor v1.18" by "Dave Noonan"
With these two programs you can do all kinds of fixes-improvements.
And, as for track makers, well, from the time that "Bob's Track Maker"
started to support the creation of .AIWs, we haven't seen ONE good
working track.
That's why I focus on the old tracks. At least the main path works
I am just one person, and I can't do requests, fix-improve all the other
tracks that I still haven't seen yet (like, more than 8 GBs worth of tracks),
and do all the other things in my life, work and stuff.
I had a heart attack in 2013, and from then on, I've been thinking that
I don't know how long I have to live, so, I started prioritizing...
But I swear to you guys, I'll never let go of F1C.
Take care!
JimmyF
