Long Beach 1982-1983 fixed
Tested only in F1 Challenge 99-02 vanilla seasons. Maybe the AI difficulty needs regulation. They are slow in some corners, while in others they are really fast.
Difficulty has not been tested, but AI works, which is the main purpose of this release. Maybe these tracks are going to be used in future projects.
Anyway, in an improvement from the original ones. Having said that, get both Long Beach circuits here in one link:
https://mega.nz/#!Fk1wFa5L!f-rFkiYh7NsK0LWtsoCrbQOTDprQFA_JQuQX9mO1hMo
Both circuits need an optimized setup suited for it respective version, which will be used by the AI. You must create that setup and program it to make it usable for the AI.
Kind regards,
Cristian.

The AIW only works with programmed setups and realistic vehicle physics that are synchronized with the rest of the components of the car (gear ratios, engine, suspension...), high ratio AI update, historic data available in the GDB, specific values in terrain physics (for AI and player) and suited XXXAdjust. Only the CMT (powered) mods have this.
Regardless, AI is still too slow in some corners. The best way to fix this is to do laps in rFactor in developer version, and develop AI from there. In Windows 10 this doesn't work for me, so... (and I don't use rFactor).
Kind regards,
Cristian.
Re: Long Beach 1982-1983 fixed
I tested both versions ... I think the VB ones are better, or less bad ... the 1983 one is working fine.
Of course around the track weird things happen, so try to stay on the track ...
The 1978-1981 version does not work the pits!
If you want I post my versions that I have ... but as my internet is slow it will take about 4 hours to load!

I think is not necessary, but thanks! I bet DavidMarqu'es 1983 Long Beach (which is 78-81 version) works well.
Sorry if 1982-1983 Long Beach... well... I guessed that this would happen.
To me, it works like a charm. I took both tracks from VB and I fixed walls, terrain, pit position, pit lines, collision detection and many more. But you need the rest of the stuff works perfectly and synchronized, along with functional and realistic vehicle physics (with high update per second ratio in AI)... which is extremely complex to setup. Again, only CMT has this (CMT is a group made mostly by engineers and a pair of physicists, one of them being a doctoral student).
Kind regards,
Cristian

It seems that VB has promised an update of these circuits, I will wait ... a lot of people are asking and waiting !
But I imagine there are several people doing the update, so thank you all !

Well... is an update, because I send him this version.
Maybe he could improve it more, but the track is still needed for all the stuff named above. I'm sorry for it.

Hi Cristian Luis,
one question... So is it possible to redo an AIW from a circuit that has already been made?
thanks

Absolutely! With AIW Cam editor.
I fixed a lot of stuff in both circuits, but it is quite complicated to setup and make it work flawlessly.
Re: Long Beach 1982-1983 fixed
Hi Cristian Luis
I don't know if I expressed myself correctly, but the question is:
Let's imagine that I made a circuit in rFactor and after all, graphics, 3ds etc, etc ... I have to produce the AIW of that circuit, right ?!
In this last step, (AIW production) you need to use an AIW editing program, the rF AIW Editor, right?
But ... if right now by some carelessness I make a mistake and do the wrong AIW, causing mistakes that we all already know.
Now the question: Once done is it possible to redo this AIW from scratch?
I even found these two videos:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yg6ADXW3Gy4
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TC7CivkLq0
Sorry, I don't know English and so I didn't understand what was said in the videos ...
Thanks
