1) Set Xpitin event WP
=================

Some of the .AIWs have this line, in all WPS:
wp_event=(1.000,0,0)

This is actually F1C, and we call it WP_EVENT (Limiter ON warning for the AIs,
so that they don't go full throttle into the Pits), when it is like this:

wp_event=(1.000,1,18)

Most tracks have this one, instead:
wp_wpse=(0,0)

This is actually rFactor, but F1C is able to read it, it is in the code, apparently.

It becomes "WP_EVENT" when it is like this:

wp_wpse=(1,15157300)

This 8-digit number can be different for each track, but it's similar.


Now, the "Set Xpitin event WP" function works only if the wp_event=(1.000,0,0)
lines are present (if I'm not mistaken).

It places it automatically, and it is always wrong!

You could set it manually, IF YOU KNEW where, exactly.
But this requires tests first, and you can place it in the .AIW
yourself,  so, the first function isn't really helpful.


2) Reduce Racing line groove Alpha opacity
================================

Transparent is see-through.
Translucent is semi see-through.
Opaque is non see-through at all.

I don't really use this, I don't know how it will be helpful.

I set the values of the groove manually, I think everybody
does, and these values are not the same for all WPs, so...


3) Set wet path as racing line
======================

That can be a good thing, I reckon.

Back when Racingsimulations.com was open, sometimes I was
getting requests, fix me this, or improve me that.

I did some work on a non-working .AIW, I didn't get a thank you,
but instead I got a strong complaint by some other player, that
he couldn't "See a thing in the rain", or something like that.

I was buffled, you know?
I said, "What the f**k are you saying, man?"

His English was broken, but on my own I suspected that the groove
wasn't visible, maybe, and then I realized what this program does:

It copies the "wp_path" values and adds them as "wet" path, for rainy
races (at least I suppose so, cause I never drive in the rain).

Here's an example from the Monterrey track:

wp_path=(4.2541,0.0000)

becomes
wp_path=(4.2541,4.2541)

Now, if you check out the game's tracks, the values for the "wet" path
are never the same as those for the dry, but I hope what this program
does, will do the job.


4) Remove unused parameters
======================

Um, I don't think we need that, too.

It removes MOST (not all) of the lines that are not useful for F1C, and
makes for a smaller (in KBs) file, but these .AIWs once they are edited
with no more problems, they are useful to other games (not just rFactor).

So, I used to do that, but I don't do that anymore.

You open the .AIW, and if you see that the second field in the wp_path
reads 0.0000, you can use the 3rd function to add a wet path,
as it is in the example above, in my "tutorial."

So, you check the third function, and you click the "Convert AIW" button.


Sometimes, both fields read 0.0000, and then you can't do anything
about it

If that's the case, there are two possibilities:

AIW works.
AIW doesn't work (like in Buenos Aires 1954).

If happens the second case, a new .AIW must be created using rFactor.

I don't think that the wp_path has anything to do with whether a track
works or not.

Many tracks have wp_path=(0.0000,0.0000) and they work just fine.
One example is "Airbase".

Here is the only explanation I have found for the wp_path:

wp_path=(-1.3528,-1.2566)// The first is the distance along the wp_perp
to the dry line (can be negative if dry line is to the right of the wp), the
second is the distance to the wet line.

In wp_perp the "perp" is for perpendicular (the opposite of horizontal,
if one finds the word unknown).

Anyway, I think it is more for looks, than functionality.
I might be wrong.

In what way the "Buenos Aires 1954" doesn't work? (don't think I have
that one).
