About Wookey story (comments and discussion)

Now I received all cars from Luigi. I also found in my old files a Brabham for Reuteman. I'll include him when no F2 race is held the same day. (Try to spot it in the illustrations !)

I need some more testing to balance the drivers files, then I'll run Argentina.
Meanwhile I post the rest of the season presentation..
No more entries allowed for Argentina (but for a true Argentinan friend)

Besides, I plan to share the drive of the second Wookey between several pilots this year.
In championship, Depailler, Jarier, Jaussaud and Ethuin will have their chance.
In other races, Nicholas Cole will drive in British races and a "real life" local driver will get the wheel in Napoli, Lédenon, Questor GP and Hockenheim.

In Argentina, un unknown brazilan driver named Joao Gilberto will compete. I do not know this guy, but he is the one who made the only CREW download that works on my computer, so I think I owe him this small hommage before I edit Player file

Final entry list for Argentina.

I could not resist to see once again "Clint MG" in his home race. Then I remembered Team Vulkan having given his old 70 chassis to Oreste Berta for developping a new engine for the future. This makes 24 cars on the grid with distinct Argentinian flavour.

Great car too ! I watch the race replay to understand how Mcleod won. In fact there was a huge scramble in the pits after he changed tyres. Many other cars spent much more time then him there. I drove Joao's car and made a driving mistake in last lap, so the AI of the SCS car overpassed me and I could barely defend myself againt the old Vulkan coming fast behind. Maybe I put Marito Garcia too high in driver file, but this is only a NC race, so I let it as such.

And now, we are all going to visit Torre del Greco

The next race will be held non championship in the Naples Region.

At first it was scheduled on Torre del Greco street circuit, but there is a problem with the track. Probably some shop owners are afraid their clients will be blocked to come shopping during the all weekend. The City Mayor is currently discussiing to find a solution. Meanwhile, the organisers are looking towards Nearby Posilipo for a replacement solution.

Another question that make a lot of article in the press is to know who will attend the race?
Ferrari will come but with 2 or 3 cars? this is the question. Few british teams seems interested. In the other hands, the French might come, but without Beltoise who fears the reaction of the Italian public after his involvment in Giunti's accident.

A first provisionnal list of 21 have been issued.

In more clear terms : Luigi, but also my other italian friends : this is the occasion to add some one-off entries aboard private cars, 1970 vintage cars etc... If you are a fan of a F2 or Sportscar driver of 1971 that could have jump in, it is time to ask ! (Just as I add Chistian Ethuin from time to time in my second Wookey)

It was great fun to do this special race in tribute to my friend Luigi in his home town, now I plan to do next race in my own backyard : Lédenon, a track designed by my cousin Jean-Pierre Bondurand near the City of Nîmes.
