In 1972, thanks to Ecclestone and Mosley, the Monaco Griand Prix had 25 starters rather than 20 or even 16.

What about 27 starters our of 42?

26 is already crowdy at Monaco, but why not, the question remains : how (using the game) do I eliminate 16 cars?

I have an idea.

Do a qualifying session in Race Mode (just a normal qualifying, if you can do that with 42 cars).

Then, tell in Wookey's story the results and impressions of that PREQUALIFYING (with photocaptures). From positions 27 to 42, those cars will not race.

P.D.: Are you playing in championship mode?

No, I play in race Mod, as I change the entry list at every race. Thanks for the idea. There is no place for 42 cars in Monaco pits.

Got it.

For choose what cars do you not want in the entry list, do this:

Go to the VEH files of those drivers and search for this line:
Classes="FormulaOne, OpenWheel, 0ZM, 1970"

Change it to:
Classes="FormulaOne, OpenWheel, 0ZM, 1970, Not AI"

Then, go to your Player file and search for these lines:
CURNT Opponents="41"
PRACT Opponents="41"
QUICK Opponents="41"
GPRIX Opponents="41"
CHAMP Opponents="41"
MULTI Opponents="0"
RPLAY Opponents="0"

Change it to 25 (if you want a race with 26 cars and 25 opponents).

Cristian

How about one qualifying session with the real ones, one with the fictional ones, select the best in each and do the race with these best ones? For instance, the ten best real and the sixteen best fictional ones or the opposite?

Now Monaco is done, I'm preparing Marseille's GP which will serve as inauguration race for Paul Ricard Circuit. (non championship) I will recycle there some of those who could not make the cut for Monaco.
+ French based teams

Provisory entry list is as such. Comments and candidacy welcomed.

About Wookey story (comments and discussion) - Page 60 Empty Re: About Wookey story (comments and discussion)

Post by Garcia Sat 7 Oct - 15:23

After a weekend with McLeod we decided to post our bit of story and send inspiration by anticipation for Luigi or whoever wishes to work on, and give enough time.

Beween Monaco and Marseilles, Miguel Garcia and Conrad McLeod spent good time at Bandol, on French Riviera, invited by Paul Ricard in company of many other drivers and team members. There they compared their difficulty to cope with the fast professionalising F1 of the day. Seeing the difficulty to find a suitable car for good performance and the steady increase of costs, they decided to join efforts on the technical field while still keeping their own structure and own sponsors on the commercial side. The merger will mutualize R&D costs and maintenance and deal more easily with tyres and engine suppliers.
The design will be entrusted to kiwi engineer George Begg of Tasman F5000 fame, but the cars will be built in Dartford, Kent, near Brands Hatch circuit by a pool of ex-Lotus and Brabham employees made redundant since both stopped to sell competition cars to clients in F2 and F3.

Engine will be DFV, tyres will be Michelin, oil will be Pemex, technical partners will be Champion and Koni. The 2 car team will present 2 different liveries, gold with Marine wings for Garcia and Marine with yellow tartan decoration for McLeod. Both willkeep their traditional sponsors.

We hope Luigi will enjoy building up these cars, or if he does not find time, another will do.
