Re: About Wookey story (comments and discussion)
Dear Luigi, I know you are joking, but for other readers, and as the author of this story, I must confess that there is very few chances that you, or any other fictional character, win the 1969 championship. However, I hope you can at least win one race and take rank within the best teams. In any case, dont quit !!!!!! You just scored points in britain and qualified in the first 10 cars 2 times in a row.
I dont want to spoil the next seasons too much, but the title says all. This is "Wookey Story".
Now another questions, mainly for dragonsteincole : what will I drive next year? We are approaching the end of the 1968 season. The Maserati "typo 12" seems at the limits of its develoment. I think The Wookey né Alpine chassis is still modern enough for 1969, maybe with side fuel tanks; and modernized wings ? Let's remember the rules change at Monaco. For simplicity, in my own storyline, the rule will change between Jarama and Monaco, not friday evening at Monaco !
In any case, I'd like a more modern (and lower) V12. It could still be badged Citroen but copied on another engine then good old Maserati.
This (keeping the Alpine) is the more conservative option, but I'm open to suggestions as long as the car is connected to its days.
I must also work about the sponsors, but this can come later.
Re: About Wookey story (comments and discussion)
For 1969 I was undecided between three models :
- BRM P142;
- Ferrari Sigma;
- Cosworth 4WD.
In the end I chose the P142 , but I can safely give it to you (if you want it) .
PS: If you choose one of the models I'd like to make the wookey's livery

Re: About Wookey story (comments and discussion)
Thanks very much for the offer Luigi. While all those models are impressive, I let you the BRM wing car, it is really beautiful in this livery. The Sigma is not conform to the rules and the Cosworth is too bold a move for a team that want to be sure to get into the struggle. I let it to anyone keener on technical boldness then in results. If no one takes it, maybe I'll invent a story about its participation to British GP. I dont really know what to do with the Sigma though, I'm sure it will compete in the F Libre events such as Marseille. But it is not truly a F1.
Moreover, I have a long term agreement with Dragonseincole, so if he stills agree, my car should come out of his workshop for the next 2/3 seasons until DSC starts its own cars...

As Philippe declined the proposal, I would gladly accept your offer to prepare a Cosworth 4WD. I'm typically the kind of character to put publicity higher then performance and driving the first 4WD F1 since the Ferguson would please my sponsors. Beside it is a unique occasion to get a Cosworth engine. In the worst of cases, I can strip it off, and finish the season with another chassis.
I already downloaded your wonderful model, but if you want to tune the livery for me, it would be very kind. No problem whatsoever. I'm sure it would be far better then what I can do.
Here is my livery this year Feel totally free from it apart the blonde moustache and the yellow/black scottish McLeod chequered pattern which are important to me.

Re: About Wookey story (comments and discussion)
Dear Luigi,
I admire your work very much. May I humbly suggest you race your own car for 1969 designing it from scratch along your own tastes around any engine you fancy? I'm sure that, like your fantasy Lotus for 1968 it would be a great design.
You seem not so sure of wanting to race the BRM. If you follow my advice, I would gladly race it for Razor Ramon (well, Philippe would do it for me, of course)

If I had your talent, I would accept, Luigi ! I'm sure you can equal Vaillante, Eagle or Ferrari in beauty of design if you wish. Don't be shy ! Anyway, the BRM is also a good choice. It's up to you !
Re: About Wookey story (comments and discussion)
To be noted :
Whoever drives the P142, it will not be called a BRM in my story. Just like the Alpine became a Wookey. We will assume that Tony Rudd and Peter Wright got off BRM when they feeled the lack of support of their project and offer it to Either Scuderia Centro Sud or Don Pedro
That is easier to explain then 2 BRM teams in my author's mind.
