Background too close to camera on AVUS Old Grab_011

As can be seen in this image, on AVUS the hilly background is way too close to the camera, creating this weird "fog" effect where you can't see more than a few meters in front of you. This increases the chance of collisions by 99% Shocked How can the background be corrected so I can drive without worrying about another car suddenly appearing in front of me?

Try replace in your SCN-file (named Avus.scn, AvusOld.scn, Avus67.scn or so; backup it!!! and use the notepad) the skyboxi part with this:

}
Instance=skyboxi
{
Moveable=True
MeshFile=skyboxi.mts CollTarget=False HATTarget=False Render=False
Instance=CLOUDS
{
Moveable=True
MeshFile=horizon.mts CollTarget=False HATTarget=False
Instance=Sky
{
Moveable=True
MeshFile=Sky.mts CollTarget=False HATTarget=False
}
}
}

And look, that in the SCN isn't "horizon.mts" twice. I had the same problem with one track, what I converted a few months ago...
And remember, that is an opinion of the amateur.

I don't know if you downloaded my latest version released for all users,
but I remember I fix it, sure you will found in next patch working

Hi Valerio, from where I can download your nice "Avus Old" with the mountains? I haven't got it yet... Many thanx! (But I don't wanna download your complete 1TB mod!)

Hello Lee67. Thank you for your fix, but it did not work. The only crashes when I try to load AVUS. I should have mentioned I am using Valerio's mod.

This is what the SCN file says right now:

Thank you Valpaso. That image looks good. Though I have to say, I've been to Berlin and there are no snow-capped mountains around it. In fact, no mountains at all rabbit

I tried the new track and though the draw distance issue is fixed there are still some problems. Mountains aside, the track texture itself flickers badly, as well as the track-side signs and trees, like with the old track. Now I've heard of "z-fighting" before and don't know of any sure way to fix it. This could just be an issue with my own device, as it is fairly new and probably doesn't run old programs too well.
