Imgbox is going to close on 30th june

It means that all thing I ve uploaded in these two years in going to desappear... I'm really afraid...

It looks like lots of broken links in the forum... especially Winners311 in 'The Collection'

It means that the following season will need to be uploaded again:
1967 1968 1969
1970 1976
1983 1984 1986 1987 1989
1990 1991 1992 1993 1994 1995 1996 1997 1998
2000 2001 2004 2005 2009
2015 2016 2017

Fortunately (1980 1981 1982 1985 are uploaded with abload.de) and the others with postimage...

I'm really afraid and disappointed.... But We'll keep on (Infact I ve just started the 1988 season)

We already lost one full forum, and part of the gang here experienced other forums closures too. File hosting places live, change format and die. All are great at the beginning, then add more and more advertising, reduce the size of the images then charge fees or disappear. Old story.

The so-called cloud is simply someone else's computer.

This is why I insist often on the need of consistent filenaming, with race # because when a catastrophy occurs, it is much simpler to bulk repost.

And please be sure someone else then me archives post 1990's pictures because I do not, not consistently in fact, only those pictures I like.

I will repost everything, the matter is that i ve always less time and I would like to complete my own archive since I have no pics from 1960-1966 1971-1975 1977 1982 1985 1988 1996!
Everything will be done but it is a problem that I would prefer to have not!

Sure This is VERY disapointing, but we faced this sort of problem quite a number of times already I hpe we will get some support from other members to repost collections in the race by race, because this is the most important. Dead links in old pages for year by year are not that important....

My problem is that I name the images differently, and to upload them to the forum I copy them with the name used here and then delete them.

You are in time to save everything for yourself, I think. There is an application called HTTTrack Website Copier. This makes a full copy of all MIME objects of a website. (external links, web design, images, videos, audios, wathever). All the data is saved in your hard disk drive. The application is free.

Maybe it takes one day or two to keep your computer on in order to allow HTTTrack Website Copier to gather all the data. Of course, you need to upload all again. But at least, all pictures (maybe) can be saved. Also, you will have a reference about where the images have to be posted, because you are going to have a recreation of ALL the forum of the specific day you have downloaded all the stuff.

I wish I would have "saved" Racesimulations on its day, five years ago.

Thank all of you that take care of this problem! Unfortunately this is a huge risk that we are subjected to!
