Re: And how about 1981? :D
Recently arrived from the editing factory, here are the Tyrrells, both 010 and 011.
Just to show you we mean business, here are some pics from Ricardo Zunino in Brazil, Eddie Cheever in Spain (on the spinner), Cheever yet again in Great Britain and driving the 011 in the Netherlands, and Alboreto in the 011 in Italy. Cheever did his best with what he had in hands, scoring ten points in total, the last two in Germany, and reaching an impressive 4th place in Great Britain. Also bear in mind the care neiln had with the tires, as Tyrrell made use of three different brands in the year, Michelin in the beginning and the Goodyear and Avon in the end of the season.
Next in the editing line: Fittipaldi, with Chico Serra and next year's champion, Keke Rosberg. After them, it's three teams to go - in my opinion, the most beautiful ones this year. Stay tuned!

The closest Fittipaldi got to scoring points this year was curiously in Long Beach at its debut. Instead of Keke Rosberg, Chico Serra was the one who got to be 7th place in this race. Next year's champion, Keke, only reaches a 9th place in Brazil and finishes a race other two times, in Jarama, Spain, and in Las Vegas, in the US. Three tire brand changes (Michelin, Avon and Pirelli) and 5 finishes. A long list of non-qualifying results after Great Britain and that was as far as it went for this Brazilian effort in F1 this year. The other Brazilian entry, Nelson Piquet, though, ended up as 1981's world champion.
In the pictures, Chico Serra on spinner and in Long Beach, Keke Rosberg leaving the pits in Brazil and one rare picture of both cars in Spain, when they finished together, 11th and 12th place.
You have a hint of what's next in the compliance line by looking attentively to this photo.
Best wishes.

Beautiful once more!!
According to the last pic... maybe the next one will be Ferrari? Or maybe the Arrows? (you can see a part of the front wing)
It's always a pleasure to see your pics, I will stay tuned

Maybe in a future, when this mod is released, I could test on it a Career Mode (similar to Codemasters F1 series).
Have a look at the Fun section:

Maybe even in a very near future, my friend. I believe that, by next week, there will be only two teams to go, Lotus and Renault, at least on neiln's part. A few tiny adjustments by me and a good and stable version 1.0 will be ready to come out.Cristian Luis wrote:Maybe in a future, when this mod is released, I could test on it a Career Mode (similar to Codemasters F1 series).

By the way, today, it's the one year anniversary of this mod. This is the very day last year neiln and I started talking about revising 1981 and coming up with a quality mod for the year, one of the Ugly Duckling's of F1C.
I hope you'll all enjoy it, especially now, with Cristian Luis's great discovery on how to play it without needing compatibility adjustments.
Regards to you all.

I hope so, d4nf1c!
Mods like these ─and modders like you─ is what make the F1C community alive and worthy.
When I finish the project, I will invite everyone to test the Career Mode in your (and Nelin1) 1981 mod. (Prepare your AkoVCR application!)
Also, I am going to send this article (a good one about recreating "simulation" in reputed sim-racing titles):

Cristian
