Re: F1 Cars that never raced in world championship & post-1945 GP rarities
Photo No. 4 shows another nose - maybe the "race" variant.
It would be nice to see this car in race!
Why the race was refused? Money factor as usualy? Technical troubles or absence of useable pilot? But who should be the pilot in the end? Mike Costin had no licence, isn't it?

The car was entered for Trevor Taylor.

But before the race, both Trevor and Jackie Stewart tested it and considered it a piece of crap. End of the story.

Thanks for reply Wookey!
BTW1 - Taylor's last real GP season was 1964 - bit confusing, isn't it? After 5 years out of F1, his "impact factor" to judge the car looks for me to be on low level...
Jackie Stewart is other level of course...
BTW2 - If the race taking part was refused only 1 week before the race do exist also photos of real race version? With Taylor or Stewart in the cockpit?

Trevor Taylor still drove high power cars. He raced in F5000 until 1972.

Thnx!
Last photo looks to be the final version.
BTW - I know Taylor raced till 1972 but F5000 and F1 is a big difference, look at the results of F5000 drivers in F1 championship - only few of them were succesfull both in F5000 and F1...
