A 158 test mule was built to test the extreme driving position and Alfa's development driver Consalvo Sanesi tried the car at Monza. He said he was uncomfortable, disoriented, and buffeted about but was astonished at the times he had turned. Unfortunately, though the engine and some of the parts were produced for the 160, Alfa Romeo suffered from lack of funds at the time and decided to stick with their sports car program.

[1961] Drebbel
F1 Cars that never raced in world championship & post-1945 GP rarities - Page 5 X4aYJwF1 Cars that never raced in world championship & post-1945 GP rarities - Page 5 6DBkjk
Team: Drebbel F1 Team
Car: -
Year: 1961 or 1963
Nationality: Netherlands

After the change of from 2,5l charged engines to 1,5l charged engines , a group of dutch race enthousiastics came with the idea to build their own formula 1 team.
The plan was to creat a fully dutch team with the foundation “Nederlandse Racewagen”.

There is not much info about any sponsors or who should design the Drebbel F1 Car.
“Vredestein” would deliver the tyres for the team, the shock absorbers would be from “Koni” , “Philips” would produce a special electric ignition for the car.
And for producing the car and having space to stall the team “Stork” and “Werkspoor” where named.

As engine they choosed for four cylinder water cooled boxer engine, the suspension where independent with Coil Springs, in front and behind the torsion bars.

[1961] Vanwall VW14
apparently, technically, this car is not a F1 car, but developped for the 'Intercontinental Formula'. Due to the new 1500 cc regulations, British teams are not happy and are supporting this new series with 3000cc engines.

However, due to the small calendar of only 5 races, there is not much enthusiasm left. And therefore Vandervell wants to rebuilt it into a 1500cc spec f1 car. But also that plan does not go ahead...

But it was entered in one single race: the International Trophy, with John surtees at the wheel; he finished 5th.

The next day Jack Brabham drove a few laps with it, and that's it!

[1964] BRM P67 4Wheel Drive
P67 4wd "P670P" 1.5litre V-8 (now fitted with a 2 litre engine).
Designed by Mike Pilbeam with Furguson four wheel drive system. Practiced by Richard Attwood , British GP 1964 but not raced. The car was later used by Peter Lawson to win the 1968 British Hill Climb Championship. After a later hill-climbing "write-off" accident the car recieved a complete rebuild for the Donnington Collection.
