CRL Aston Martin 3.0L V8 Tyrrell Privateer

In 1975, Ken Tyrrell designed the P34. Chiacchierini Racing Limited purchased an 002 chassis for use as a test bed for Aston Martin's new 3.0L V8 they were developing for endurance racing. The tests were so successful, CRL approached Tyrrell about purchasing the innovative P34. Although they were just in the early stages, Tyrrell figured that additional assistance with the P34 would help perfect the car. One of the 2 test chassis was sold to CRL, and with Tyrrell's permission, they fabricated an additional car as a backup
