Why? The helmet is very similar to the Simon's helmet.Rodo115 wrote:I do not think it André Simon. In my opinion is the ing Rudolf Uhlenhault.Wookey wrote:XIII Grand Prix Automobile de Monaco

I only had an image of miniature replica:

Often, a miniature replica image is the only color image we can get. In this case, I'm glad when they are shared here to ameliorate the information given by BW photographs.

I thought it was Brooks in practice due to car number format.
I have pictures of Brooks and the number is surrounded by a white circle, like this:

On the other hand, also I have this photo, poor quality by the way, next to Schell's Maserati and rear number does not seem to have that white circle.

Finally, I have this photo, original LAT , which has a text into the file that says it is Titterington car (I had to reduce the size of image that would not let me upload).

I'm lost, help me
Look at the differences:
1 - the nose
2 - the windscreen
3 - the helmet
4 - Not Maserati. It's the Connaught's wheel.
My conclusions:
Photo #1 - Brooks 1955
Photo #2 - Titterington 1956
Photo #3 - Brooks 1955
Photo #4 - Fairman (#30) and Leston (#18) 1957

Well, it's hard to know because both wore white helmets, but Uhlenhaut had a black band under the helmet:Thunder wrote:Why? In these 3 pictures I think is Uhlenhaut who drives:

Perhaps, in the photo that you quote, I may be wrong. Are you sure it's Simon?

Thank you Wookey. I can not be happier to share. F1 is my lifelong passion. Unfortunately, my English is very bad and perhaps the Google translator is not the right thing enough to express my gratitude to your forum. Thanks again!Wookey wrote:Rodo115 wrote:Bravo!!!!!vasko13598 wrote:[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Napoli: #6 Ascari
