Silverstone - Round 15

After a succesful 2 year recovery from his accident during pre qualifying for the British GP of 1977, David Purley returned to F1 driving his old LEC and a Shadow DN9 in the Aurora Series.
The final round at Silverstone would be his last F1 race. Having proven a point that returning to high level motor racing was possible, he decided to walk away from the sport. His future wife Gail Ward was there to support him.
