Bad news, still CTD at some point or another during the race.

There are too many missing files that have nothing to do with the 1970 mod (like 1977_COSWORTH.SFX;1978_TYRRELL8.HDV; 1930.SFX...) pale

My advice is a new install of the standalone mod.... study

That happened to me. Sometimes, I solved it by starting a new Championship.

Other times, I solved it installin MACT or WADT.

On ocassion, what I needed to do is to replace the circuit (Kyalami in this case) by another circuit (another Kyalami), and then, restart the championship.

And in the most extreme cases, install the mod from a clean F1C install.

True. Lots of files pointing to 1930, 61, 67, 1977 and 1978 files. Maybe they're from the new cars. Maybe your install has more than 1970. Either way, the 1970 mod itself can be inserted on a fresh install. You should try a race without the newcomers, then inserting the new guys little by little to see if maybe it's one of them troubling the race.

are not connected to the new cars. They appear whatever carset I use, and including when the race goes right to the end (as last Mexican 69 GP)
I wonder where could the program stock information from past races as such, maybe it is the origin of the problem.

Anyway, do not worry Luigi, it takes time, but I'll resume the story soon. I need to re download CREW F1 , then 1970 Mod and make a brand new installation. As, my present 70's Mod is blocked too. Then, it should work.

it took me quite a while to reinstall CREWF1.
I had to make room on my HD first, not to loose all the fancy cars. etc...

I did.

Then I added Mod 70 on that clear installation.

and now?

How many driver have entered for the race?

Have you tried a race with only 22 cars, without using the cars with Alfa Romeo engines?

I just ran SAF without CTD with 30 cars for four laps ...

Now Philippe,

1) Try to delete your old player and create a new player;

2) Although I do not think it's a matter of tire brand which causes a CTD, check if your .hdv file has your own michelin.tbc files of refer (they should be the only ones missing for the 1970 season) and so in your vehicles folder.

3) I finally understood the problem of the Alfa Romeo engine, it was in the 1971_711Alfa_N.hdv file of the SCS, and more specific in the string:

RestrictorPlate = AlfaV8engine_1a // restriction plate engine

That correct (without space) becomes:

RestrictorPlate =AlfaV8engine_1a // restriction plate engine

1) nex player : done much before, several time. Even changed Mod
2) yes, all tyres got tbc...
3) thanks, I try this. But no better. same trace as above...

I'm tired with this. Maybe I'll "cheat" the results of that race and find a way for the images...
