Trace Archive Empty Trace Archive

Post by cecelo Thu 26 Jan - 5:32

I opened this topic to gather as many explanations as possible about each item in the Trace file.

I have a question.
When this appears in the trace file: htree.cpp 290: Gaussian elimination for HAT poly failed once
htree.cpp 328: Gaussian elimination for HAT poly failed twice
what it means?

Trace Archive Empty Re: Trace Archive

If I remember well, it can be because one or some .bmp or .tga textures used are not (merde, une quelconque racine n'est pas 2 )... hum lets say 2x2, 4x4, 8x8, 16x16, 32x32, 64x64, 128x128, 256x256, 512x512, 1024x1024 OR 1024x512, 1024x256, (...) OR 512x256, 512x128 (...) OR (...) I guess you understand the principle! I'm not sure from memory, but I think that this message concern those cases. So, you may need to check the size or your textures files. If there's a lot of textures, to be quicker, after you extract them, click to show them in order by size. Then its much easier to spot the one who are incorrect. When you spot it, simply open it in a photo editor (like photoshop) and re-export it in a correct format, as I try to explain above.

From memory it's not that problem, that one is defined with ' Couldn't assign DirectDraw surface' and a numerical string. Again, that's from memory, I haven't had this problem for quite a long time.

I meant, remembering it from my own memory, the problem that tesla described actually has a string resembling what I put in the previous post. Sorry if it was unclear, it has nothing to do with the memory of the computer.

Trace Archive Empty understanding the trace file a little more

Post by cecelo Sun 27 Sep - 4:42

Hi guys,
When this error appears in the trace does it mean that the problem is in the ENGINE file physics? If so, how can I resolve it?
vehload.cpp 632: RPM-torque brake > throttle @ 0.000000

thanks
