"F1 1980 mod" - Development & updates

good day, is there any patch to run the mod CREW_F1 in win7 64bit??
I've configured to (windows7) for earlier versions ( XP sp3) and does not work
In the in F1c works ok, but not the CREW F1 mods. thanks greetings.

Configure the compatibilty to as Windows 98/Me a try to change (in config.ini file) the VBSTRATEGY=1 to VBSTRATEGY=2 or VBSTRATEGY=0. Good luck!

I've been concentrating on finishing 1984, and now discover that I've missed a lot. Paul and I finished a race-by-race season for 1980 (based on Pedro's GP4 mod) a while back, complete with his CREW-style artwork (in the Vehicles folder, at least) and Luigi's excellent Ligiers, which he had shared with us. For a variety of reasons (such as losing touch with our favorite tester) the project got stalled; I'll look into whether we can get it off the ground again.

This question may sound a bit stupid, but what does a tester do, exactly?

We need someone to really thoroughly take out all the cars on all the tracks, more than when we can stand to do after already working a long time on them, largely to stave off complaints from the people who can't do anything for themselves when they hit the inevitable snags in a mod. Our friend Daniel in Brazil, for example, is a genius at meticulously discovering and diagnosing problems us modders haven't detected. I'm not sure which season it was now, but we were once irritated by pit-chat that started up very quickly in every race for virtually every car. He figured out that settings in the .hdv files were almost immediately wearing out the tires, which prompted the radio messages. (I always thought they were just random ambience--who knew .hdv files trigger audio?) While I'm working on the cars I take them to the track to see what happens, but I'm satisfied if I can start and close races at a few tracks without a CTD.

BTW, thanks Luigi! I'm glad to see your latest work, and that you've been collaborating with my old friend Carlson, who's single-handedly responsible for getting me started on modding. It's all his fault. And speaking of the work you two did on Indy 1984, the link in the downloads section doesn't seem to work.

It has been a pleasure working with Carlson, the physics that he has done for 1984 indy cars is just incredible , by the way, these are the links:

It's working for me, at least (and it's a fantastic mod )

By the way, if the only problem with the 1980 mod is testing, I think I can give some help
