A challenge against the M23
The Lotus 76 was used for fewer GPs during the 1974 season than the glorious Lotus 72. I tested this configuration on the old Nurburgring and found myself battling Fittipaldi's McLaren for nearly three laps. After my only overtaking attempt at the ex-muhle curve, Fittipaldi's m23 reacts within a few meters, passing me a few meters ahead. I made my last attempt on the Dottinger Hole straight and through the slipstream effect I reached 320 km/h but ... I was unable to pass that McLaren despite a speed of 15 km/h more.

Re: rFTST
Coincidence is not a synonym of COPY
This is my opinion that was born after the restoration of many historic cars and to be precise on some models created by Tyrrell which in my opinion have "technical coincidences" with other cars of opposing teams.
But let's see in detail what I mean
Mclaren makes the M23 compete in the 1973 season, a car that shows a shape with edges and roof parts without curves for better research into aerodynamics.
The technical innovation will lead the Fittipaldi rider towards his second world title in the following season.
In the 1974 season, Tyrell puts the 007 in competition, a car with a chassis that vaguely resembles the M23 of the previous season... but it's just a coincidence
Lotus creates the Lotus 76 for the 1974 season. This model similar to an arrow, has a slim frame and with the position of the radiators arranged obliquely to improve the aerodynamic effect.
However, he did not have the desired results in the competitions in which he participated.
For the 1975 season, Tyrrell competed with an improved version of the 007 with a chassis slightly reminiscent of the Lotus 76 created the previous year... but it's just a coincidence
The coincidences on the Tyrrell models didn't stop there, indeed in 1979 he disputed the competition with the Tyrrell 009, a car that should have competed against the other scideries of that year but that didn't happen.
The Tyrrell 009 however resembled the Lotus 79 wingcar that won the 1978 world championship…another coincidence I suppose…or not ?

Lotus 76 reastored de Lacrowe
It happened in 1974
For the 1974 season, Lotus needed a new and highly technically advanced car, and this was due to the awareness of maintaining a high level or perhaps even more. From the McLaren M23 that participated in the previous season, cars with wedge shapes and flat walls began to be created, increasingly leaving aside the round shapes such as the Lotus 72. The presentation of the Lotus 76 was attended by a car with a very capable of having a better aerodynamic coefficient than the Lotus 72. This new car was born with the concept of maximizing every point that had previously lacked a cover, and therefore behind the engine air intake there was a sort of frame shaped like an aircraft tail with an unusual double fixed rear wing. However, this innovative technology lacked competitiveness in the races because a problem arose in the rear area of the chassis right from the first tests, which was to be its strong point. The Lotus 76 was rapidly modified from its original form, but could do nothing to compete with Fittipaldi's M23 who claimed his second world title.

Behind a restoration
A very intense restoration for my skills, but I was particularly keen to give this car an appearance even closer to reality by creating the front and rear wing group with a very minimal margin of error. The result satisfies the eye and also my situation of inner harmony.

Brabham BT44
A car that when you see it with great sincerity you wonder "doesn't it look like the ..."
I personally like its colors and find that orange takes a bit to break up a very dark colour.
John Watson had previously used an unofficial Brabham the previous season during the British GP, and for 1974 it seems clear that the Brabham and Watson partnership would have a continuation.
For the restoration I had to correct its basic asymmetrical Crew shape and this required almost infinite patience
Maybe many people like the official version of this car but in my opinion I really like my restoration in this guise too.

The mistake you don't expect
Sometimes, though not very often, during my restoration I notice that the real car differs from the virtual one. This problem is encountered with a photographic comparison and speaking of this Brabham I would like to dwell on my necessary correction concentrated on the upper air intake which was actually square and small. A not so serious mistake but for some fans it can be annoying.

BRABHAM BT42 B
A curiosity for a legend
Chequered Flag is a racing video game developed by Psion Software and published by Sinclair Research in 1983.
It was the first driving game published for the ZX Spectrum and one of the first computer car simulators
The Chequered flag team participated in the last two races of the Formula 1 world championship in 1974.
It has no connection with the ZX Spectrum game released in 1983 but it is curious that this name still has a small history of sports racing

BRABHAM BT42
A model that is not easy to restore due to the curious and multiple mapping that I have found applied to the teams that have used it. I was lucky enough to find the original sponsor stickers used for the Finotto team and therefore I also made a version that was even more real than it was at the beginning. Cars number 31 and 32 used the Firestone tire and not the Goodyear as erroneously released for F1C. The EMMENTAL logo used on car 43 is now spelled correctly. Fully symmetrical model compared to the F1C release and this model configuration is the same one used by Watson in the last US GP on the previous year's calendar.
