It's because there are in fact two pictures....One of the first row and one of the second row..........they were glued together.....because of the overlap it looks like it's manipulated

No...the photographer took two photos......one of the first row of the grid and one of the second row of the grid. These two photos were combined with Photoshop to make it look like a wide-angled photo
