Historical Note:
Dan Gurney's "home track". The road course opened on September 21st, 1957, and operated until 1988. The dragstrip operated from 1959 through 1970, and from 1983 through 1986.
The short course represented here was used, among the others, for the second round of the 1966 United States Road Racing Championship.
Now the track is gone for good; you can see some pictures from 2001 of what remain back then here:
