Re: F1C 1981 Race-by-Race Mod released
Thank you for the nice reception of the mod, everyone.
Two quick Easter Eggs for you.
Ricardo Londoño had his super license rejected before the Brazilian Grand Prix and Marc Surer took his place.
Before the actual race, during qualify, his car had a different sponsor that you can see in the images here in the repository.
Now go to the Ensign folder, open 1981_Ensign14b.veh and, on the GenString line, change 8114BAAA for 8114TAAA, select Ensign to run in Brazil in game and see what happens.
Also, in this system that we used to represent the seasons race-by-race and encompassing every livery change for every team, it was not possible to have a full and real championship, so we designed a "semi-fictional" 1981 Championship to which we selected some cool liveries from every team. There are limitations, though. All actual races had 24 cars except Monaco, with 20, and championships in F1C don't handle the change in the amount of cars too well. Thus, our championship has 22 in every race due to these game limitations.
You're in for another treat, however, if you choose Elio de Angelis to race in this fictional 1981 full season.
Best wishes and have fun with the mod.

F1C 1981 Race-by-Race Mod revised
Kaps pointed out a few things we missed involving liveries (see the screenshots). The color scheme for the end-of-season Renaults, in particular, needed correction; we realized in the process that all of Prost's RE30 headrests had texture problems. The Cheever Tyrrell that ran in the race at Jarama is now accurate, as are the backs of the rear wings of the Alfa Romeos and McLarens. I've also uploaded a small fix for the Kyalami Theodore suspension at http://www.mediafire.com/file/msiktrs67cov5jc/Theodore_Kyalami_suspension.rar/file
The original link to the carset in the first post has been replaced with a new link to the revised carset (V1.1). If you've already downloaded the original carset, there's also a new link to a patch that will overwrite those files to install the revisions.

Another new link to a fix has been added to the first post:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/aytxvcouzay9d43/1981_87_fixed_gens.rar/file
Daniel discovered that the .gen files for the Lotus 87 had a number after "Instance-HELMET," which caused the driver's head to remain in the car when he left a race. Not a bad special effect, really, but gruesome, too.

Thanks Neil and Daniel, it's perfect now!
I've got some more small updates regarding some rear wings back ends, if you'd like I could send them to you?

Re: F1C 1981 Race-by-Race Mod released
One very strange thing I've noticed.
When I go to race in Long Beach (haven't tried other races yet) the car colours turn much brighter and, sort of paler, than they were in any of the practice, qualifying or warm-up sessions.
I've never seen this before in any mod, so I wonder what's causing this?

Re: F1C 1981 Race-by-Race Mod released
Hi guys,
The LongBeach circuit is wrong and continues with the same error in AIW. The circuit that is in the mod is the one of 76 to 77. From 1978 to 1981 the pitlane was in the opposite side to that that is in that circuit. I do not know if anyone has seen this error or has already fixed this AIW.
Thanks
