Luigi, I like your Alfa 177s very much; you clearly had better resources than me in figuring out that front wing. I prefer mine only because I spent a long time figuring out some of the decals. I'm not sure what the problem is with the McLaren tires--they're not accurate? or they're not showing up properly? It's really difficult to figure out what's going on with black wheels from 40-year-old photos; I looked around and the wheels don't seem that far off except maybe for the number of spokes. It would help to have screenshots from the game and photos from real life to illustrate whatever the problem is.

I've edited my first post because I forgot to give On Mario full credit for his contribution to 1979 and to thank Wookey, as always, for keeping us all going.

The tire tracks do not fit the size or direction of the tires.

Taking advantage of the occasion, that rain light, maybe it is possible to fix it?

Lee67, all of us who worked on 1976-79 decided a long time ago that for the sake of our sanity we were only going to do the cars that actually started races. I welcome people tinkering with liveries and models and offering an expansion.

MFA, I'll check on the McLaren treads, but my first guess is that there are conflicting files floating around in your installation although more than one person reported the problem. I would swear that all the tread files in the cars I uploaded are the same, and the cmaps.mas file I supplied has no "tread" .bmps at all, so you definitely need to use it. These cars, like 1980-81, are better off in a fresh F1C installation with the original Seasondata replaced by the new one. (I hope I'm not making the process sound simpler than it is.)

Rainlight problems are usually fixed by going into the .mts file with a hex editor and adding ".tga" to "Rainglow." But I'll check that, too.

Thank you very much for your response and all your work, neiln!

Lee67, I did download the 1970-1980 collection you created when you first shared it. As for the tire and rainlight problems, they don't show up in my installation. As I mentioned earlier, all teams have the same tread files; you can always pull them out of one of the team .mas files and drop them in the Vehicles folder to override whatever's causing problems now.

One thing I'm surprised no one commented on is that I forgot to upload the Vehicle/Audio files although those are unchanged from earlier iterations of GP79, so I assume everyone already had them. I've edited my first post to include a link to the audio files.

I discovered something else, the ATS car has the textures TREAD on the front tires and 79GDYR on the rear tires. Tyrrel has two tires type 79GDYR. So, McLaren has the tires made to use the TREAD texture but it is appearing as if it were the 79GDYR texture, so only half of the tire appears.

If I rename the 79GDYR texture to TREAD the McLaren tires are correct, but the tires on other cars are wrong.

So, how do I change only the name of the texture of Mclaren tires, is this possible and easy? For example from TREAD to TREAF.

Thank you
