What years are already done in race by race (CREW/TNT/Luigi style) ?
Hi friends !
sorry for this "noob" question, but I'm a bit lost with so many threads.
I hoped someone would tide up this mess, but meanwhile...
Can somebody tell me what years are now available for download? I'm only interested in pre_1980 years, but maybe some people need to know for more recent years.
The reason I ask is I'm considering ending my Wookey Story soon someday and start a new saga that would cover older years (somewhere from 1950 to 1965) with a new hero. But I must need to know what is possible.

I'm pretty sure that in ten years F1C will be the only virtual racing game to have all F1 seasons complete, despite the fact that the game is always overshadowed on the major race simulation sites

I have been seriously thinking about opening a YouTube channel and talking about Formula 1 (particularly circuits and history) in my spare time using F1 Challenge '99-'02, but my conscience does not allow me to take advantage and win X euros at the expense of the work of the community colleagues. I have fulfilled my childhood dream thanks to people who have created selflessly and shared for free. The idea of profiting off that talent feels like a betrayal against them and especially against myself. Nor do I want to waste time making visible a job that I know is brutal without profit and I do not need communities, influencers, or "opinionists" to verify it, whether or not I was involved in it.
I would not like to see YouTubers gaining money at cost of my modding skills by dint of making the mod being known. Personally, I develop mods to enjoy with them, not to gain some recognition regardless of who says the mod is awesome is Jean Guignet, Adrian Newey, Lars Bremer, or Lewis Hamilton. Anyone who is interested in that can take professional courses and mess around with Assetto Corsa for a long time.
In RaceDepartment I have taken some warnings and even censures when I have talked about how the new sim-racing technologies do not provide realism, but immersion (VR even diminished realism because it stirs out the "tunnel effect").

Sim-racing videogames are videogames above all. Practically all sims have exploits that are often unnatural to driving.

I anticipated just that when many modders moved to rFactor. Then thye moved to rF2, then to AC.... this is endless.
I always thought we should focus on one game that has the advantage to be "forgotten" by EA, so no legal problems can be anticipated.
Thanks to the community, with Valpaso and Luigi as flagships, this dream is coming true slowly.

DavidMarques, Anniversary and KCarlosCampos are flagships too

Is natural to make the move. Games are evolving. Most people want simulation and in rFactor2, Assetto Corsa, iRacing, etc., you have more potential than in F1C (or GTR2 or GPL, etc). Players have come to a point that they enjoy having a single car with many different liveries. Race Sim Studio, any Automobilista F1 series, rFactor2 with Marussia, iRacing with their F1 cars, etc.
The most played series in online racing is the GT3 series. Formula 1 is rarely touched in hardcore simulators because is more difficult and way less entertaining, especially with the current era where you have to manage all the time and run 90-95% of your capacity, waiting for the correct moment and spot to overtake/defend because of DRS and hybrid tech.
Besides, when it comes to simulation (inside F1C's possibilities), only kcarloscampos can do the job with physics. Let's not forget most people play racing simulation games to simulate what they drive; IMHO, what sim racing is really about at its absolute best is mastering a car ─with proper performance akin to its real-life counterpart and vehicle dynamics recreation─ that you’d have a snowball’s chance in hell at driving in real life, competing against the whole grid with believable skill stats, accurate car models, correct track layouts and proper vehicle performance.
