Round 9 Mallory Park

Maybe Thunder...different opinions with several people in the FB Groups. Some come up with the fact that this is the evolution of the P207 which was introduced at Mallory Park (Round 9). In the report of the race Pilette is quoted to be very satisfied with the changes as it now "feels like a proper racing car" In races after Mallory we see a different car with less radical changes however. So in my opinion Pilette's words refer to the car used in R10 and not the one we see in the picture.

Some also mention there was a second more radical evolution used at Snetterton for the last race. A version which was not a success and discarded. During winter tests for 1979 season the car was already back to the "Evo 1" solution (Neil Betteridge testing)

Looking at the car and what I read on FB I chose for Snetterton.....but as this is the only photo of the car I can't support it with any more evidence. Just a feeling that fits better to the story
