I beg for explanation: Shaw Hayami = Shotetsu Arai
Shaw Hayami is a nickname? Shaw does not sound as japanese lanuage, it sounds much more as english...

Shaw Hayami was the nickname he used as racing driver. His real name is Shotetsu Arai. I have no further info to answer the why.....

from FB: Shotetsu Arai/Kanetsu Arai alias Shaw Haymai why two names?
the answer: Maki's sponsor was a financial company that became a social problem at that time in Japan. To that end, the Japanese staff of the team feared criticism and opened a recital with a different name without issuing his real name.
