Re: Paper F1
Great job, Robert. Your models looks really nice and accurate.
If you allow me, I have a couple of questions.
I wonder how these types of models are maintained over time and if they need something in particular to be protected ? How old is your oldest model?

Re: Paper F1
Thanks.
There is in fact no maintenance. The only task may be - to get rid of the dust. And it can be done by proper soft brush.
And - of course - they do not like humidity.
Some models may have the surface from plain paper with offset print or inkjet print, some may have clear varnish as a surface layer or some can have glossy laser print layer. The care must then be adapted to this. But basically I don´t see any huge difference to plastic models. Only that paper behaves differently.
I don´t have many models because I gave them away to friends or so. But coincidentally, the oldest I have on shelf is from 2008. It was oversprayed by clear varnish and that turned a bit yellow now.

I succeeded in designing and building another paper car - the championship winning Cooper T51 from 1959.

Re: Paper F1
That looks great I guess it is 1/24?
How did you do the tyre tread?
Is there a WIP anywhere?

Re: Paper F1
Thank you for your kind words.
Yes, 1/24.
The tyre tread - it is made by laser engraving into solid cardboard - I have found someone for it, I don´t have that technology at home.
You can find all of my pictures from this build here:
