All F1 Track Icons in original F1 Challenge '99-'02 style
These are 24 bits track icons have been created by me, thanks to Ausotim Circuit Layout Generator 1.33 and Photoshop CS6 software applications. Template is included in the file.
Most of them doesn't work well in 16 bits: I forgot since the beginning recoloring the absolute black (#000000) color to a very dark grey... he, he.
Missing Icons: LongBeach82, LongBeach83 and Baku16
Feel free to download!

Thanks a lot !
If you put these as such in the folder, will they appeat good? Or should I change some setting in my game? I usually have black as transparent in the screens.
Anyway I'll check

Oh, but that is the old version, with only the track layout. Did not you work on a new version with layout + name + years

You just have to make a copy, paste ir on your desktop, rename it to the name of your desired track icon file to change P.E. 1976_FujiTrack, and paste the new file on your folder, replacing the old one.
No. It doesn't contains any number. I'm on final exams, I said it before. They are too tedious to make. Also, Valerio is doing them, as you saw. You can add the number yourself on any track icon with Paint or Photoshop (don't forget to make multiple copies of the file to add before its edition!) Just ask Valerio about the typography he uses, the size, and the color of his numbers.Wookey wrote:Oh, but that is the old version, with only the track layout. I had almost all F1 track icons the day before you contacted me (all without the numbers.) Your messages accelerated the process with the inclusion of the newest F1 tracks, like Sochi, Valencia, Korea, etc. (I'm not a fan of new Formula One circuits aka Tilkedroms.)
Regards!

This is an awesome job Christian, thanks a million.
And, I'll give this program a try.
Is it that with this program the rFactor guys make their _LOD files?
I have always wondered how they do it...
But, why are you saying 16 bits? The F1C track icons are in 24 bits.
I must be missing something...

I've been editing track icons into the classic shape, especially this year I've done a lot,
so, I have prepared a small tutorial for all of you guys, and also I have a .zip file with
86 track icons that I have edited in the classic F1C track icon shape, so here they are:
http://www.4shared.com/zip/pmdiz-6oce/Tutorial_to_make_classic_F1C_i.html
and
http://www.4shared.com/zip/anU7l1x7ba/Classic_F1C_Track_Icons__86__b.html
Hope you find them useful.
More to come in the next few months.

Guys, I'm switching to MediaFire (from 4shared), I realise it is
way easier, so here are those .zip files again:

and

Take care and have fun.

Link updated. Old 14 km Spa Icons added (1939-1978 and 1970 versions.)

When you try to play the game on 16 bits, the black color of the track icon becomes transparent. And so, the track layout on the icon inheritates the color of the game background. The problem is easy to fix (just select all the black color of the track and change its color to a very dark grey palette (i.e. #1e1e1e), but tremendously tedious.
