our collection is very poor for the Lewis Evans Trophy, raced at Brands Hatch on October the 1st one week prior US GP :

Even counting this race in as an international non-championship Formula 1 race is questionable. Only drivers with a British racing-license were alloud to take part so it was in fact a British national event.

The well-known British magazines hardly paid attention to the event; Motor Sport Magazine did not bother to mention it all and Autosport only had a minor report of the event but did not bother to have any pictures in the magazine. I doubt if we will ever find any pics of this race

Thanks for your very precise information Hans. I include it in the RbyR because, you are right, the place of this race in the serie is questionable. Yet, we had 1 (yes ONE ONLY) picture of F1 to share, and the choice was between creating a whole thread for just this picture or post it here. Really hard choice. Many other races have hard to define status. Some in Britain, some in the antipodes, some in South Africa... Every time someone has to make difficult choice, and in this forum, it is my position to decide. I'm perfectly aware that my choices are debatable, and I might change my mind if I find a better solution in the future, as the tool that this forum provides is really flexible. Although it asks some time to change things. We still did not finish to repost all that we could save from Aerogi. But Rome was not built overnight...

I am perfectly fine with your choice Philippe. It was just an observation to underline the fact that it was a very minor event and will be very hard to find any pics.
