Re: Formula 1 pictures of 1957 (+Indy500)
Some time ago, all 7 pictures were posted by someone on the Aerogi forum as the Argentine GP, in one set. But I don't know the original source.Rodo115 wrote:I don't know. If you are sure all photos are of the same set, then all are the GP of Buenos Aires, because I'm sure the other 3 are of Buenos Aires GP.Thunder wrote:Rodo115 wrote:3 photos of Buenos Aires GP.Wookey wrote:57e Grand Prix : V Gran Premio de la Republica Argentina

These two pictures are probably from the same set also. We can see Bonnier, who did not participate in the Buenos Aires Grand Prix. It seems that all these pictures are completely mixed. Or Bonnier was there as a spectator.Wookey wrote:57e Grand Prix : V Gran Premio de la Republica Argentina

I found this picture described as the Argentine GP. It's a practice, or more probably, the Buenos Aires GP? No spectators, no sticker with the logo of YPF, the bright stripe on the nose is not visible.
It looks very similar to the car #6 on this photo:

There is little doubt in my mind that Jo Bonnier could have been there as a "simple" spectator. Those were the days...

Jean Behra photo is of Buenos Aires GP practices. The evidence is the site of the track where he is moving only used in BsAs GP:Thunder wrote:[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Behra

I see white helmet. And Musso shared car #18, not #12Rodo115 wrote:I agree with you. It's clearly Luigi Musso, has yellow helmet.Thunder wrote:Musso in my opinion.vasko13598 wrote:Rodo115 wrote:3 photos of Buenos Aires GP.Wookey wrote:57e Grand Prix : V Gran Premio de la Republica Argentina

I wonder wether Masten Gregory is in car #12?
In the same page as mentioned in the previous post, Luigi Musso shared the car #12 with Peter Collins in the second heat.
