Le circuit

Cette année encore l’ Automobile Club de France joue la continuité en organisant son Grand-Prix une nouvelle fois à Linas-Montlhéry et la stabilité en reconduisant la Formule Sport. Une précision tout de même, les bolides doivent posséder au départ le carburant nécessaire pour parcourir la totalité de l’épreuve. Au dernier moment, les équipes d’usine, Bugatti et Delage, déclarent forfait. La course sera une bataille à trois entre les Bugatti privées, Talbot et Delahaye. Cette dernière engage une toute nouvelle voiture propulsée par un 12 cylindres. La grille se compose d’une dizaine de partants.
D’entrée Chiron (Talbot) réalise le meilleur tour à 127,226 km/h, Sommer (Talbot), Comotti (Talbot) et Divo (Talbot) précèdent Dreyfus (Delahaye), Schell (Delahaye) et Carrière (Delahaye), toutes les voitures d’usine sont aux avant-postes.
Dans les derniers tours le classement ne subit aucun changement. Après 1931 avec Varzi et 1934, Louis Chiron remporte à trente huit ans son troisième Grand-Prix de L’Automobile Club de France, triplet réalisé sur le circuit de Montlhéry mais avec trois marques différentes, Bugatti, Alfa Roméo et Talbot.
A partir de 1938 ces Grands Prix quitteront l'autodrome pour Reims. L'autodrome toujours en faillite sera finalement racheté par l'armée et l'arrivée de la guerre stoppera pour un temps les sports automobiles.

This year again, the Automobile Club de France is seeking continuity by organizing its Grand-Prix once again at Linas-Montlhéry and stability by renewing Formula Sport. A precision all the same, the cars must have at the start the fuel necessary to cover the entire event. At the last moment, the factory teams, Bugatti and Delage, withdrew. The race will be a three-way battle between privateer Bugatti, Talbot and Delahaye. The latter engages a brand new car powered by a 12-cylinder. The grid consists of ten starters.
Initially Chiron (Talbot) achieved the fastest lap at 127.226 km/h, Sommer (Talbot), Comotti (Talbot) and Divo (Talbot) preceded Dreyfus (Delahaye), Schell (Delahaye) and Carrière (Delahaye), all cars factory are at the forefront.
In the last rounds the classification does not undergo any change. After 1931 with Varzi and 1934, Louis Chiron won his third Grand-Prix de L'Automobile Club de France at the age of thirty-eight, a triplet achieved on the Montlhéry circuit but with three different brands, Bugatti, Alfa Roméo and Talbot.
From 1938 these Grands Prix will leave the autodrome for Reims. The autodrome, which was still bankrupt, was finally bought by the army and the arrival of the war brought motor sports to a halt for a time.
