Le circuit

Le Grand-Prix est disputé cette année sur le rapide circuit de Reims. Le tracé long de près de huit kilomètres utilise la nationale 31 qui relie Soissons à Reims, inauguré en 1925 il est le théâtre des Grand-Prix de la Marne.
Huit Alfa Roméo, P3 ou 8C Monza, vont se mesurer aux Bugatti 51 et 54 engagées par l’usine, Varzi, Divo, Chiron, ou par quelques privés dont Dreyfus et Williams. Etancelin (Alfa Roméo) est au centre de la première ligne, Nuvolari est sur la seconde, devant Caracciola et Wimille, autres pilotes Alfa Roméo. Malheureusement, l’usine Maserati de Bologne, en Italie, avait décidé de ne pas participer et aucune de leurs voitures n’était présente.
C’est le président de l’ACF, le vicomte Rohan, qui donne le départ à 12h00.
Les spectateurs assistent à une domination sans partage des Alfa Roméo qui occupent les trois premières places.
Nuvolari termine premier, suivi de près par Borzacchini avec Caracciola troisième. Chiron était un tour derrière à la quatrième place, suivi de Dreyfus, Williams, Zehender.
The Grand-Prix is contested this year on the fast circuit of Reims. The nearly eight kilometer long route uses the national 31 which connects Soissons to Reims, inaugurated in 1925 it is the theater of the Grand-Prix de la Marne.
Eight Alfa Romeo, P3 or 8C Monza will compete against the Bugatti 51 and 54 entered by the factory, Varzi, Divo, Chiron, or by a few privateers including Dreyfus and Williams. Etancelin (Alfa Roméo) is in the center of the first row, Nuvolari is on the second, ahead of Caracciola and Wimille, other Alfa Roméo drivers. Unfortunately, the Maserati factory in Bologna, Italy, had decided not to participate and none of their cars were present.
It is the president of the ACF, Viscount Rohan, who gives the start at 12:00 p.m.
The spectators witness an unchallenged domination of the Alfa Romeos who occupy the first three places.
Nuvolari finished first, closely followed by Borzacchini with Caracciola third. Chiron was one lap behind in fourth place, followed by Dreyfus, Williams, Zehender.
