I am not sure but maybe does the 2003 Suzuka circuit made by Tantra have the correct Dunlop corner? If so, you can take it from that circuit maybe. Fantastic that you've seen this by the way. I always thought something in real life changed at that corner as the years went by while watching some old tapes but I never saw and/or felt any difference at this corner while sim racing these seasons (1999-2001).

with the indispensable help of luigi70, valerio bertolotti, joan vieira and markus trott

could you send me that version?

Here you go: https://www.mediafire.com/file/uxghj29ltpjsmyg/2004RH_Suzuka.zip/file

Don't be confused with the fact that this is the 2004RH track because it's the '03 version of the circuit. It was made by Ethone by the way, not Tantra, my bad.

suzuka has 8 different configurations:

-Version 1: 1987 - 1990
-Version 2: 1991 - 1999 (casio chicane changed, now 50 meters closer to the last curve before start-finish line)
-Version 3: 2000 (pit entry changed, now you can go through pits after the last corner instead of before)
-Version 4: 2001 - 2002 (second esses revised and dunlop corner is now closer)
-Version 5: 2003 (changes at 130R, new casio chicane and moved start-finish line closer to the last corner)
-Version 6: 2004 - 2008 (start-finish line moved to its original position)
-Version 7: 2009 - 2014 (start-finish line closer to the last corner, but not as close as in 2003. terrain revised)
-Version 8: 2015 - 2021 (dunlop corner slightly closer after jules bianchi crash)

original silverstone 1999 is also wrong, with ai going through the grass when coming into the pits, taking the pit entry path applied to 2000 season onward by error

I always thought it was the opposite. IIRC, the AI does the right thing at Silverstone 1999 but at Silverstone 2000 they go straight forward through the grass rather than taking the right-left corner path. The AI however is doing the correct thing, the asphalt which should be there is simply missing, therefore they go straight through the grass. The developers of the game should've taken a better look at these small things honestly. At Suzuka 2000 there's still the 1999 pit entrance but the correct .aiw file which causes AI drivers to go through the wall when they enter pitlane.

Another interesting 'bug' in the original F1 Challenge game are the AI setups for the old Hockenheim circuit, the AI goes way too slow on the straights at this track while at Monza the AI goes really fast. I think the AI simply uses the 2002 Hockenheim set-up which of course is not that fast on seriously long straights, another small thing which easily could have been fixed before they released the game.
