This is a fun one. There was a F5000 race on 21 October, and the World Championship Victory Race the next day, for a mixed field.Wookey wrote:

This is Frank Gardner's works Lola. The Speed International trio of cars had numbers 8-10 for that race.
For the Victory Race, the F1 cars monopolized the lower numbers. The F5000 cars (mostly) added 30. So, rather than Gardner keep the 38, he ended up as 68; and the Speed International cars went up to 38-40.
Ergo this must have been for practice or the 21 October race.
