F1C 1979 Race-by-Race Mod--Done Right

As with 1980 I am making amends for releasing some time ago an imperfect conversion of the GP79 mod from rFactor. I have made all the physical models and graphics as accurate as possible for each team and race, reaching new heights in obsessive-compulsive disorder. The Ligiers are Luigi's; he shared them with On Mario and me when we originally worked on 1979 a few years ago and has also more recently graciously allowed me to fill some troublesome holes in the early season with his and David Sabre's work on 1978. I'm pretty sure most of the team artwork, tires, and cockpits are On Mario's work from our initial effort. As always, thanks to Wookey for keeping this site going; I could never have done this without the collection of photos here.

There are six files to download; the first is the Circuits folder, a combination of my editing for 1981 and conversions from GP79:

The last file contains new .gen files for all cars with increased LOD values for the suspension and .va shadow; I really hate watching them constantly appear and disappear:
