Well spotted!!.....so we must see things in a different light now. All reports I consulted (Motorsport Magazine, Autocourse) and OldRacingCars.com mention that Stuck drove DN9/1A during the race.

However, the photo above clearly shows Stuck drove DN9/5A for the race. Chassis 5A was the only DN9 with different roll bar supports as is also mentioned on ORC (below)

You can maybe clear another mystery from 1978 for me:
Why Tyrrell used in International Trophy for Depailler start number 3 instead of his usual number 4?

Clearly the administration which car was used in practice and/or race started to be incorrect as soon as DN9/5A was actually used for the first time in Germany. The pictures show that 5A remained the T-car for Germany and Austria and DN9/1A was used for the race. DN9/5A became the race car starting Zandvoort. I will adjust RbR accordingly. Thank you Thunder!
