convert gp4 track to f1c/rfactor
Hello everyone!
I was wondering if there is a tutorial or something to convert some gp4 track to f1c or to rFactor?
Some gp4 tracks are really good ( osterreichring 1981, kyalami 1982..) and really better than the ones in f1c and rfactor which are very flat.
It was just a question if it was possible, I don't have really skills in it.
Thank you very much in advance!!
Happy new year to everyone and best regards,

Re: convert gp4 track to f1c/rfactor
Hello titi01170!! Happy new year 2019!
Unfortunately I've no idea about converting from gp4. I would love to know it, in order to convert some tracks or cars (specially some early 2000's cars, more accurated than the existing ones), at least for personal use... but I've absolutely no idea.
You're totally right, some gp4 tracks are better than some others existing in F1c.
As a curiosity, Pedro Ripping Corpse said some days ago in gpg forum, that he's about to release a lot of tracks built along with Jcaranti (like Zolder, Brands Hatch, Long Beach including 82 and 83 versions, Kyalami, Montreal78-85, Jarama, Monza,...) and an improvement of the 1982 mod (and new cars) soon. It will be very interesting to have a look on them, when the release comes
About Osterreichring... the Rfactor2/Automobilista versions are very similar than gp4 version, and far better than the existing one in F1c.
Like 2 weeks ago, Teji uploaded a video at Facebook, in F1c VB group doing a lap in this track converted (but NOT released, at least for now) for F1c. Maybe could be a good idea to ask him in private
Cheers, and happy new year again!!

Hello Sudden,
I can't find a link for rFactor2's version of "Österreichring". Could you send me a D/L link for it, please? (Not Automobilista version 'cos I don't know how to convert it. I don't see some AIW- and CAM-files here.)
Thank you!
Best regards,
Lee

Re: convert gp4 track to f1c/rfactor
You're welcome titi!
Hello Lee! of course! I have to say that I've seen this track for Rf2 is only in youtube, here are some links:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vp-G1AAGhV0&t=106s
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G86reM6DCzA&t=278s
At the first youtube video, in one of the 2 comments in it you can find the download link of the track. I think it's called "Spielberg Historic".
I don't know if it does still works, so... just in case I searched the track by my own, and I found this:

(extracted from https://simracing-gp.net/rFactor2/tracks Spielberg Historic).
Cheers, and happy new year 2019!!

Re: convert gp4 track to f1c/rfactor
Anyone knows how to convert tracks from Assetto Corsa (to rFactor or F1C)?
3DSimed is the application I use, but how I can obtain an AIW file?

I have the same problem. I also don't know how I can get the AIW-file from the track... (The same at Nascar 2003.)

Hmmmm...
I think the track should be converted to rFactor first and make it work in that racing simulator in order to create the AIW files.

Then, proceed to convert to F1C.
I think Jalnervion knows how to create AI from rFactor without using AIW Cam editor: he did so with Estoril 14 Km's first AIW file.

Re: convert gp4 track to f1c/rfactor
Thanks Cristian Luis for the links! I will keep this link in mind.
I have problem with the 1982 Long Beach circuit:
- the paths of the cars are weird: very slow in some corners, cars don't take the inside of the bend..., lot of problems in pits...
and maybe use these tutorial can be helpful.
I know also thanks to an other forum that Pedro27 is preparing 1982 and 1983 version of Long Beach for GP4, and I was asking myself, if, with his permission of course, after the release, it will be possible to convert his circuits.
I have no skills in it but maybe it could be easier than redone the AIW of the actual 1982 and 1983 Long Beach.
I don't know what to do
I have to meditate on that
Anyway thank you for your links,
Best regards,
