Re: rFTST
Race against the time of the past ( personal reflections )
How many of you still use this game? I think that if I look at the date of its release I understand well the time that has passed. I have been using it for years and years and it has not bored me yet. In the place where I dedicate myself to its restoration, I am surrounded by CDs that are many of them half my age and this makes me understand that I cannot leave behind the passing time because I consider it important for what I do now, and for what will come later. Before the web came to my house, I was a girl who ran to the malls to buy music of various genres, and for every CD I bought I listened to it dozens and dozens of times. Today I just need to search on the web and without problems I find something without spending too much of my salary. Yesterday I was a girl with a rhythm in her body while today I am a woman who runs so as not to arrive last. The era of yesterday towards the era of today without winners, of course. The strength of this game lies in its form as well as its substance, and if I still enjoy it, excuse me but boredom has not yet knocked on my brain...

Grazie per il tuo apprezzamento Maestro y muchas gracias por tu regreso Edge
Alone but not too much
I believe that in sports life starts from the start light to end under a checkered flag, but to get there many times you need advice, a favor or a little help to solve our problems.
My personal situation is made up of personal conquests that are very often due to the advice I receive when I just can't solve. So here is my message

Re: rFTST
You will run under the tree with me
When you enter a historic race with a model from the 70s there is not much to know. There is a 5-speed selector that allows you to reach speeds of almost 300 km/h
, an accelerator pedal to be used almost always and a brake pedal to be used as little as possible. Some purists would add that it is very important to warm up the
tires, with at least a couple of laps maintaining a very cautious pace. I usually go out in the fray and forget about this factor. Each race has a number of laps to complete
before assigning the winner, but if in Austria it takes several laps to finish, in Germany I only need less than a third of the laps to obtain the same thing. I often enjoy the
track where I can overtake, while I find short tracks with many hairpin bends boring, where my arms get knotted up from the contortion that it requires. I am not a racing
driver, I consider myself a woman who runs fast at least during this nice game. I define rFactor as a sensation simulator rather than a competitive racing game. Sometimes
I scream at those cars that hinder my attack, while sometimes I cry when even though I brake the car it inexorably goes out on the grass damaging itself. Watching my last
name trying to climb the rankings among 14 cars managed by the PC is not easy but when this happens the smile blooms on my face. I consider myself a woman who
respects the rules of the race, but I often take risks with the car, taking it beyond its natural functioning.
" Helmet, gloves, suit and shoes are not good for me "
To be a Champion you have to take risks or it is better to knit a sock with knitting needles. It's very cold this season and this affects my driving style. I don't like driving in the
snow and luckily not even in the classic F1 but you race in the wet which I can avoid in this simulator. Which engine do you choose to race ? For this historic category there
was both the v12 and the tried and tested Cosworth v8 and the difference is felt right from the start. I don't use the Ferrari incessantly because I spent so much time in
restoration that I have a great sympathy for the BRM P201 or the March 741, and then several others. With rFactor the same rule of life applies that states that either you
like it or you move on to something else, a bit like the first love that grows in you the desire to continue until its decline in the garbage drawer. My approach to racing with
these cars is the awareness that trying is a way to evaluate your own skill, if it goes well I will be celebrated on the highest podium while if it goes badly I can turn off the
PC and pretend nothing happened. However tomorrow there will always be a new day.
