I have Motorsport magazine for December 1957 and there are no start numbers in the Casablanca race report (or photos).
Sheldon's 'Black Books' and all other sources I have contradict your corrections...

There are some pictures in Motorsport: Fangio and Godia #16.
Lucas #18 and Scarlatti.

Regarding Brabham, I have a very small photo of Brabham's car on the grid.
There is a short film on the Duke video "the BRM Story" vol 2 wirh the start
filmed from the back whith Salvadori and Brabham.
